The instructions were fairly clear but not very good about indicating how times of different tasks would overlap. Whether it’s their instructions or my lack of comfort in the kitchen, the meals always took longer than they suggested they would. All of the rest of the produce and meat seemed fine. Nothing really gross, just obviously soggy. I had to throw out the garlic that came in my first box because it hadn’t gotten wet during transport and started to rot a bit. The packaging they came in was fine, about the same as any other meal kit delivery service (I’ve tried freshly, Plated and Sun Basket in the past). I also don’t do “slaws” so that narrows the choices down as well. So my meal selections were really only a choice from 4-5 meals. I’m not big on salads period but definitely not for a dinner that is costing $10 a person. It seems like each week they had at least 1 or 2 salads on the menu and to be honest I’m just not a salad for dinner kind of person. I chose the stir fry for 8 points, scallops for 12 points and za’atar spiced cod for 5 points. The six meals available were Za’atar-spice cod & olive dressing with harissa kale and chickpeas, Beef and vegetable stir-fry with sesame-samba sauce, Chicken & kale salad with lemon-yogurt dressing, Seared chicken & chipotle yogurt with spicy orange slaw & roasted potatoes, Seared scallops & lemon-butter sauce with mashed potatoes & roasted broccoli and Marinated vegetable & quinoa bowl with sesame kale and spicy orange. So for each box they give you 6 options to choose from and I signed up for the plan of 3 meals for 2 people. There is a lot of fish/seafood which don’t always reheat the best.

A couple of things to be aware of that influenced my experience are that I am a fairly picky eater and these meals are for at least two people and my husband refused to eat them so part of why I cancelled is because I wasn’t getting my money’s worth. I tried the WW Blue Apron plan out and wanted to provide my experience with them for anyone thinking about signing up.
